ICDS believes that poor people can be more empowered through the formation of group. When the poor people become united they can achieve through gaining the strength. ICDS has prioritized its approach to deliver the programs interventions through the formation of group with the active members of the poor households. It has continuous process of searching the eligible group members. We know mother is the nucleus of the family; this is why it gives emphasis on the women for selecting and enrollment in the group. Each group has one general body selected for every two years comprising chairman, secretary and cashier. Within the large group there are 4 to 5in small group. Small group has one leader who leads the small group for the collection of savings and credit timely and also to organizing weekly meeting regularly. To day it has mobilized 1211 members in to the groups and facilitated them to involve in the learning process and income generating activities. The number of total and new groups of this financial year is 94. The loan outstanding of the date 30 June, 2024 is 8563,549 taka and the member savings amount of the date 30 June, 2024 is 1766,059 taka only. As a result a development savings habit is practiced among them.
